We have just completed an extensive remodel and addition to our house in Oxnard. Our house was completely reimagined in 2016, going down to the studs, and changing a 1970s home in Mandalay Bay to a very contemporary home. However, the people that did the renovation did a horrible job on the stucco (incompetent) and when we did the new addition, our contractor recommended Tom Daniels and Advanced Plastering Systems. We liked Tom immediately and felt that he was exceptionally knowledgeable, experienced, and trustworthy. Our highest expectations were surpassed! Tom (with him onsite and working right beside his 5-6 workers) worked skillfully, efficiently, and non-stop to get our job finished in a timely period. His work was flawless. He also knew how to correct the mistakes of the original stucco job, so that the entire house looks completely new. Tom was unbelievably reasonable in his pricing, and having seen all the work from beginning to end, of all the various trades we used, Tom’s work was, by far, the biggest bargain. In addition, Tom was exceedingly pleasant and easy to work with, very accommodating and helpful. Unlike other trades and/or contractors, he was also very considerate of the other trades working at the same time at our house. Definitely not a primadonna! I would rate our experience with Tom and his company as one of the best experiences we’ve ever had with building. I rate Tom’s work and his character as superlative. He gets the highest rating possible from me and the highest recommendation.

Wish I had known APS was on Yelp, I would have reviewed them sooner! We recently remodeled our kitchen and bathroom and wanted a custom hood done for over our stovetop and a new spa-like shower. We met with Tom and he was so professional and friendly and very helpful in designing both. He created custom colors for both spaces, putting up with my very picky tastes but everything turned out beautiful! Our shower really looks like something out of a 5-star spa and the hood is so impressive, it’s the first thing you notice when you walk in! If we ever need any more plaster work done, we’ll definitely be calling APS again!

The guys at APS are just great. They plastered the outside of my home including the retaining walls and everything looks perfect. Tom is very easy to work with and doesn’t leave you hanging when you reach out, doesn’t promise you unrealistic timelines like some contractors will just to get the job, and will work with other crews to make sure deadlines are met. Will recommend to anyone who is looking for a plastering company.
